Bonfire Drumming Jam With Gong & Horses
Saturday, May 1, 2021
6 - 10 PM
Join Linda and Helen for a night to remember! Healing sound and Horses!
Linda will start us off in the arena. The humans will have the opportunity to experience a gong meditation while the horses wander free around us. The participants will be within a safe gated area. Gong allows us to block out internal chatter while dropping into a place of meditation and peace. The horses offer balancing and grounding energy. The combination of both is an experience you don't want to miss.
Following the gong we will move to the bonfire pit. Helen will lead a drum circle jam which is a creative experience of coming together to play drums and percussion instruments as a community. Helen's friends and students will hold down the core rhythm, which will include traditional West African rhythms she has studied over the past 20 years in Guinea. During the jam, she will demonstrate and show participants patterns. They can choose to play or they can add their own creation to the mix. No experience is required. Some drums and percussion instruments will be provided.
Bring whatever you'd like to munch on and drink (along with he necessary utensils) for yourself.
* If the weather does not cooperate and we are unable be outside around the fire pit , we will go into the open air large indoor arena.
* We have some chairs and may or may not have enough for everyone so we'd appreciate your help if you have one you can bring along.
