Soul By The Sea ~ Replenish Retreat
Sunday, February 20 through Saturday, February 26, 2022
Location: The Island Eleuthera in the Bahamas
Just about a year ago I was feeling lost and a little voice in my head whispered, “go to the sea to rest and heal”. I sent a message to my friend Lisa who has a deep love for an island in the Bahamas named Eleuthera. She had always told me that someday I would visit and she was right.
This is a place that held me by the hand and walked me down the beach in a gentle way I will never forget. Eleuthera is remote, quiet, drop dead gorgeous and has a special place in my soul that I want to share.
Emotionally, time near the ocean alleviates anxiety and generally invokes a calm, positive mental state. Could you use a little time to reconnect with yourself? Come with me to Soul By The Sea.
We all need time to replenish our souls and there is no better place in February to do that then by the sea. Experience the perfect balance of time alone and time with a beautiful tribe of women in a peaceful space. Immerse yourself in Soul By The Sea and you will return home re-balanced with a new perspective.
This retreat will include the following and much more...
- Accommodations at a luxurious beachfront home with a pool and pink sand beach
- All meals
- 25 minute morning beach meditations
- Gentle workout classes Monday, Wednesday and Friday
- Daily group times to connect with each other and learn about yourself
- Retreat experiences on your own to bring you closer to what serves you
- Three planned excursions to explore the beauty of the island (one of which will be a boat outing to small islands for relaxing, shelling and swimming)
- Opportunities to learn about the local culture (for example a conch fritter cooking class by one of the best on the island)
- Journaling and alone time
- A story necklace made by you as a momento to keep you connected to your experience
Linda Bruce, Gestaltist and owner of Soulful Prairies is excited to host Soul By the Sea retreat in Eleuthera in 2022. She strongly values the seeking of truth and answers to create a full life for oneself. This never-ending process has brought her to a place of combining her social work, counseling, Equine Gestalt Coaching, life and horse experience together. Her passion is bringing humans and horses together to create an environment of discovery while finding the healing powers that exist within each of us. In this retreat Linda harnesses the healing power of the sea instead of horses.
We feel honored to have Lisa Krupp joining us as our Excursion Coordinator. Lisa has been traveling to the island of Eleuthera for over 40 years. She and her family immersed themselves in the Bahamian culture and have built a second home on the island. She is a peace activist, Montessori educator, travel agent, Grandma, Reiki practitioner and peaceful human being.

Eleuthera island was founded in 1648 when Captain William Sayles and the Eleuthera Adventurers sailed from Bermuda in search of religious freedom. When they arrived at this magical destination, they named it Eleuthera, derived from the Greek word "eleuthero" which mean "freedom".
Eleuthera is 110 miles long and average width is 1 mile! It is lined with miles and miles of pink sandy beaches where you can still walk miles and never see another visitor.
Current population is at 11,000. Currency is equal to the US dollar although they have beautiful Bahamian bills which are interchangeable with US at all locations.
One of the most incredible views is from Glass Window Bridge, where only the width of the road separates the Caribbean Sea from the Atlantic Ocean. It is beyond breathtaking to see the calm, shallow, turquoise sea meet the dark, sometimes raging, deep ocean beneath the fragile bridge. It is occasionally closed when the Atlantic waves crash over the top in storm conditions, but equally beautiful to witness from very far away.
There are so many island heritage sites, from the amazing Sapphire Blue Hole in North Eleuthera to the famous Lighthouse Point at the southern tip of the island. There is no end to the adventures that await you in this tropical paradise.
