Band Information

The Evening Attraction: The only band that has played all 5 years of Soul Jam

Empty Pockets: Quote from their website: “When The Empty Pockets play, they don’t just go through the motions of belting out tunes and revving their guitars to impress you – their performances are offset with a vibrancy and a sort of energetic showmanship so that space and distance don’t matter in the end – rather it’s more of which of their carefully crafted songs will strike a chord within you first.” (My Nguyen, AMDEntertainment)

Soul Jam's Past Recipients

2015 - Dollars For Scholars
2016 - PHA Pulmonary Hypertension Association
2017 - Family Health Partnership
2018 - Magnolia Tree Foundation

Our annual Soul Jam event is truly a labor of love. The Bruce family created this idea in 2015. Soul Jam takes many of the things we are passionate about and rolls them into one event. A day of good music, good people and always supporting a good cause. Each year we choose a different local cause as the recipient of our proceeds. We offer a nice line up of about ten local bands some of whom we hire and some of whom donate their time. Food is available for sale and people are also allowed to bring coolers of food and beverages. Groups of people set up chairs and tables on the lawn and settle in to enjoy the day. Wandering the farm and meeting the animals, shopping the local artists creations and catching up with friends are among a few of the possibilities.

My absolute favorite part of this event is that my children have learned what it takes to put together a fundraiser, and have experienced the rewards that comes with giving back to an organization looking to better the world. There are no words for the pride I feel each year when Soul Jam is over and my family collapses from a hard days' work and months of planning, knowing it was a job well done.

Soul Jam 2018 was a huge success. We had over 550 people in attendance and raised over $22,000!

Thank you to everyone who came out for a day of good music, good people and a great cause ~ Magnolia Tree Foundation.

"Soul Jam was beautiful -from the people to the setting to the music. Soulful Prairies is the ideal location for people from different places in life and location to connect for a common cause.
We enjoyed every moment from the artists performing...just to being there, exploring the property, meeting the horses and taking it all in!" ~ Margaret W
