Equine Partners

Equine Gifts

These beautiful beings have more to offer to humans than we understand.

Horses are prey animals and to increase their survival, are genetically predisposed to a heightened sensitivity to the environment. Their ability to sense energy gives them the beautiful gift of helping us reveal our own personal strengths and struggles. Insights through the joint work of a practitioner and a horse can be revealing
and life-changing. We work with many horses here at Soulful Prairies. View the image gallery and meet some of our long-standing equine partners below.

Meet Bugg

Bugg came to us in June of 2018. Bugg lost his Mom at only eight weeks and was lovingly fed and raised by a human. He is always waiting at the gate and would choose attention over the sweetest of grass. He brought with him new energy that changes the breadth of our already amazing herd. Bugg is a master jokester and can manipulate himself in and out of any gate.

Meet Charlie

Charlie wrapped his sweet personality around my soul the minute I laid eyes on him. We purchased him when he was eleven in 2010 for my daughter and he has taken good care of her through her years of developing as a rider. He is mischievous, kind, and wise. Charlie can see the vulnerability in individuals and compassionately honors each being for who they are. He can be trusted with any secret.

Meet keebler

Keebler was purchased in 2011 when he was four years old. He is a warm blood and I met him at the barn where I was boarding Charlie. He was placed in the stall next to Charlie. My son befriended him and knew my admiration of this beautiful creature ran deep. We have created a partnership that I cherish. Keebler Elva has a huge heart and a gentle forgiving spirit.

Meet kincaid

Kincaid came to us in 2014, when he was eleven. He has an incredibly strong loyal spirit. I say he is the horse that can see right through me. Behind his beautiful forelock is a willing master who brings change with certainty. Kincaid is a huge asset to our equine family and we are excited to have him on our team.

Meet mister

Mister joined the Bruce herd in 2015. He came to us quite spirited and with very little trust in himself. He has learned that his heart of gold is all he needs to be valued and that he will still be loved with his opinions. He is our herd’s lead horse. Mister is a master at requests that are clear but fair. He also has the gift of tapping into Gestalt sessions in some of the most unique ways I’ve seen.

Meet pj

PJ was purchased in 2010 when she was seven years old. She was a thoroughbred off the racetrack and was being trained as a jumper. PJ has struggled with finding her place in this world but with time found her voice and speaks her mind regularly. She has been my teacher with groundwork and patience and I continue to learn from her. Her sensitivity to energy is an invaluable tool and will bring about change and awareness to anyone who slows down and takes the time to listen to what she has to offer.

meet Euclid

Euclid has been at Soulful Prairies since the very beginning and became ours in 2025. He was a school horse before he received his well earned opportunity to retire.  When he first arrived at the farm he was desperately in need of some time to just be a horse. One of my favorite characteristics in him is his ability to wrinkle his nose up during sessions with clients to express his dislikes. Euclid is an independent, wise soul with a big heart and we are thankful to be able to honor him through his senior years.
